Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 11 October 2026
1. About these terms
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Work & Errands mobile app and related services (the “Service”). The Service is operated by Denomira Systems LTD (“Denomira”, “we”, “us”), 298 Sam Guobadia Street, EDPA Ugbowo, Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What Work & Errands is
Work & Errands is a marketplace. It lets people who need a job done (“clients”) find and hire people who do that work (“workers”) for errands and freelance jobs, and it holds the payment until the job is approved.
The agreement to do a job is between the client and the worker. We are not a party to it. We do not employ workers, and workers are not our agents. They are independent and decide for themselves which jobs to take, how to do them and what to charge. We do not guarantee the quality, safety or legality of any job, or that a client or worker will do what they agreed.
3. Who can use the Service
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract.
- The Service is for use in Nigeria, and payments are in Nigerian naira (₦).
- You may hold only one account, and you must not use the Service if we have previously suspended or removed you.
4. Your account
- You sign up with your phone number, which we verify with a one-time code, and you give us your name and email address. The information you give us must be accurate and kept up to date.
- Workers are asked to verify their identity with a valid government-issued ID (such as a NIN, BVN, international passport or driver’s licence), and we may require this before they can take jobs. We may ask any user for more information to confirm who they are.
- Keep your phone and login codes secure. You are responsible for everything done through your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has accessed it.
- One account can be used both to hire and to work.
5. Posting jobs and hiring
- Clients must describe each job honestly and completely, including its location and anything a worker needs to know to do it safely.
- When you post a job, you set a budget and pay it upfront (see section 6). Workers can send offers up to that budget, and you can negotiate within it.
- When a client hires a worker, the two of them have agreed to the job at the agreed price. Both must then do what they agreed: the worker does the work with reasonable care and skill, and the client gives the worker what they need to do it.
- A worker can have only one active job at a time.
6. Protected payments
Every job is paid for through a protected payment:
- The client pays the job’s budget when posting it, by card, bank transfer or from their Work & Errands wallet. Payments are processed by our licensed payment partners.
- We hold the money while the job is under way. It does not earn interest. Neither the client nor the worker can withdraw it during this time.
- When the client approves the work, the agreed price, minus our fee (section 7), is added to the worker’s earnings. Any part of the budget above the agreed price goes back to the client (see section 9).
- By approving a job, the client confirms that the work was done as agreed. Approval cannot be reversed.
Do not pay or accept payment for a job outside the Service. Payments made outside the Service are not protected. We cannot help recover them, and arranging them to avoid our fees is a breach of these Terms.
7. Fees
- We charge workers a platform fee of 10% of the amount paid to them for a job, including any cancellation fee they receive. The fee is deducted automatically before the money reaches their wallet.
- Clients do not currently pay a platform fee.
- We may change our fees. We will tell you about a change in the app before it applies, and it will not affect jobs that were already hired.
8. Cancellations and refunds
- Before anyone is hired, a client can take down a job and the full budget goes back to their wallet.
- Client cancels before the worker arrives: the full amount goes back to the client’s wallet.
- Client cancels after the worker has arrived or started: the worker receives a cancellation fee of 25% of the agreed price (minus our fee), and the rest goes back to the client’s wallet.
- Worker cancels: the full amount goes back to the client’s wallet. Workers who cancel often may be restricted from taking jobs.
Refunds are returned as described in section 9.
9. Wallet and withdrawals
- Your wallet holds two balances. It is not a bank account, and neither balance earns interest.
- Credit is money you add to your wallet, plus refunds and unused budget from your jobs. Credit can only be used to pay for jobs on Work & Errands. It cannot be withdrawn to a bank account. If you paid for a job from your earnings, money returned from that job goes back to your earnings instead.
- Earnings are what you are paid for work a client has approved, cancellation fees and dispute awards, after our fee. New earnings are pending for a short period (currently 24 hours) before they can be withdrawn or spent.
- You can withdraw available earnings to a Nigerian bank account that you have added to your profile. Withdrawals are made by our payment partners and normally arrive quickly, but bank delays can happen.
- If you close your account with credit remaining, or ask us to return credit you no longer need, we will send it back to the payment method it came from, or, if that is not possible, to a bank account in your own name after checking your identity.
- To protect you, withdrawals may be paused for a period after you change your payout bank account. We may also delay, investigate or refuse a withdrawal we reasonably suspect is linked to fraud, a dispute or a breach of these Terms, or where the law requires it.
10. Disputes between clients and workers
- If a job goes wrong after work has started, the client or the worker can open a dispute in the app. While the dispute is open, the payment for that job is locked.
- Our team will review the information available, including the job details, messages, photos and both sides’ accounts. We may then pay the money to the worker, refund it to the client, or split it between them.
- Our decision settles how the money held for that job is paid out. It does not affect any other legal rights you have against the other person.
11. Ratings and reviews
After a job, clients and workers can rate each other. Ratings and reviews must be honest and based on your real experience of the job. We may remove reviews that are false, abusive, unrelated to the job, or offered or demanded in exchange for something.
12. Things you must not do
You must not use the Service to:
- post, take or carry out a job that is illegal, or that involves weapons, drugs, stolen goods, sexual services, or anything that puts people at risk;
- harass, threaten, discriminate against or abuse anyone;
- mislead anyone, impersonate someone else, or give false identity information;
- arrange payment outside the Service for a job you found on it;
- create fake accounts, fake jobs or fake reviews;
- interfere with the Service, try to get around its security, or collect other users’ data;
- use another person’s contact details, address or location for anything other than the job they relate to.
13. Safety
Many jobs involve meeting in person. Verification and ratings help, but they cannot guarantee how anyone will behave. Use your judgement, keep communication and payment in the app, and do not go ahead with a job if you feel unsafe.
If someone is in immediate danger, contact the police or emergency services first. Then report the user to us.
14. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post, such as job descriptions, profile details, photos, messages and reviews. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and process that content to run the Service. You must have the right to post anything you share.
15. Suspension and closing accounts
We may restrict, suspend or close your account if you breach these Terms, if we reasonably suspect fraud or a risk to other users, or if the law requires it. Where it is safe and lawful to do so, we will tell you why. Money owed to you will be paid out once any open jobs, disputes or investigations are settled.
You can close your account at any time by contacting us. Open jobs and disputes must be completed or resolved first.
16. The Service is provided “as is”
We work hard to keep the Service available and working well, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise that it will always be available, error-free or secure.
17. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Denomira is not liable for: the acts or omissions of clients or workers; the quality, safety or outcome of any job; or any indirect, incidental or consequential loss. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the platform fees we earned from your jobs in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Nigerian law.
18. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute with us that we cannot resolve together will be heard by the courts of Nigeria.
19. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the Service changes. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after that, you accept the updated Terms.
